Ghana AI Summit & Awards 2027 will bring together government officials, investors, and technology experts to Accra from March 30 to March 31, 2027, under the theme The Intelligent Future: People. Policy. Profit. Progress. As the third installment of Ghana’s largest AI event, the gathering will move beyond discussion to deliver concrete steps for adopting artificial intelligence across industries. Organizers, led by Data Nyansa and Deloitte Ghana, will examine four key areas: training the workforce in AI, establishing regulatory frameworks, helping businesses apply AI for expansion, and supporting innovations that ensure fair access to benefits. A separate African AI Roundtable will connect Ghana’s advancements with developments across the continent.
Dr. Kwami Ahiabenu, who chaired the 2026 edition, described the event as a turning point for Ghana’s 70th independence anniversary. The timing coincides with Ghana’s effort to shift from experimental AI projects to large-scale, responsible implementation.
The two-day program begins with a Day 1 workshop designed for professionals and executives, offering hands-on training in AI integration for organizations. Unlike conventional conferences, attendees will participate in group exercises, real-world case studies, and skill development instead of listening to lectures. The Day 2 conference opens to a wider audience, featuring keynote speeches, panel discussions, and networking on subjects like AI in healthcare, agriculture, and public services.
Major topics will include economic development, preparing the workforce for AI, ethical standards for AI systems, and Africa’s position in the global AI market. The event will also host the Ghana AI Awards 2027 and the National AI Challenge, honoring innovators whose work strengthens Ghana’s AI capabilities. Outstanding research presented at the Summit may be included in official conference publications, reinforcing its position as a platform for sharing knowledge.
Previous editions have established Ghana as a regional leader in AI discussions, but the 2027 edition will focus on turning ideas into action. The workshop’s interactive approach reflects a move toward practical application, while the awards and challenge programs encourage measurable contributions. For Ghana’s technology sector, the Summit serves as both a conference and a testing ground for converting AI potential into real outcomes.
